oh.. that set had a large neck CRT,yeah those are getting rare,I DO remember the chopper power supply in sony's sets after that model was out,"KV1722",so much fun to blow out sg-613's,and glue that became conductive and made the HV rise and damage CRT's.
i always thought i used a 18 volt power supply and scope to troubleshoot.memories..!..
make sure the HV connector is seated good,cause both convergence and 2nd anode HV are sent to that connector,and if not seated right it will flash green.
if you remove the cup the slowly peel up the rubber cup,cause it's connected with a hook sort of,and center electrode has a spring..
