And it is true that the MSRP was $10,000 in 1981, and that it weighs 510 lbs 7 oz. I was given the figure of 200 shipped to the USA, and 1000 total built. The owners manual was pigskin bound, and the 2nd remote was also tamo ashwood.
I would bid on it, but the CRT is $4300.00 at Andrews so I don't suppose I'll be ordering it!

I have to admit that I'm watching this auction.Have emailed the seller as to the working condition.It's apparent that the CRT is shot,but I just love the looks of this set.I faintly remember seeing one and cringing at the price,but what an amazing piece of craftsmanship.How good or bad was the picture on these sets? I have given some thought of gettng it just for the looks of the set,but to get the crt replaced or repaired plus the fact of driving to L.A. and back.What happened to the two sets you had?
