Looks like it may be an RCA Matrix tube in that ctc-38. If the type number begins with "23V" it is likely a Matrix type which has better performance than the older 23" tubes. Don't pitch that crt unless you know it's really bad cause you will need it on a future set. Especially if the flyback is bad then the set wouldn't have as many hours on the CRT. I saved a 23" crt from a junked out Hoffman set, and put it in a box stuffed with blankets in a closet...was able to use it to save an old ctc-38 with bad crt.
