Philco 19ABP4 Tube
Hi,
I really didn't give you the whole story. I just didn't want to put up a post with lengthy details. I never asked Higgins to do this kind of swap. I am new at this and was just hoping to find an easy way to fix the TV for my son. He knows his stuff and I trusted him with other repairs (such as a Bose wave radio that had a broken CD player and my son's Toshiba CF3275K which he completely took apart and refurbished). He's got plenty of other repairs to do and space is a premium in his small shop so I don't want more items taking up valuable space in his store. I never asked him to replace the tube or look for a replacement. Again, as a newbie to all of this, I took it upon myself to start looking for a quick way to fix the TV. Getting a direct replacement seemed to be the logical first step. If that fails, then we'll ask him about changing to a different tube. I hope this clarifies the situation for you. The information you provided is appreciated, but it's over my pay grade. I leave that stuff up to people that know what they are doing, not me.
King Regards
