I have a 34XBR-960 with proprietary remote. It does not have a select button. I haven’t operated the set in a while, but I think the central button in the center of the “up, down, left and right” dial/joystick will select the function. That is the “select” button. If that does not work try the “enter” button if you have one.
Or you could try a universal, learning remote that has Sony product codes.
