I had one just like it. Got it in 1964. The picture tube finally got weak and it was stored in a less than ideal place. I cleaned out the basement this year and discarded it.
Yes, it only has one tube - the high voltage rectifier. Everything else is 100% solid state. In its day, it was a great performer.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about this set. It's probably going to need some of the electrolytic capacitors replaced at a minimum. Be gentle with the knobs - old plastic is not very strong.
