I've seen a very pleasant picture from a Sylvania and even a DuMont (Emerson) from that era, and I had a Philco that really impressed me. But an RCA, if in good working order, is a notch above. The Zeniths I've had from that period didn't quite match an RCA in color but they ALWAYS beat them in reliability.
