Interesting that they were following the practice of naming sets after towns/cities, as a lot of American manufacturers did. Open an atlas or a road map and look at names until you find one you like. Their color consolette is the "Kenilworth," the name of a high-tone Chicago north shore suburb. [Edit: also the name of a town in New Jersey. Panasonic has had facilities in New Jersey for a long time.] I wonder if the naming was done by their American office or perhaps their American (Chicago? New York?) advertising agency.
