I was 2 months old, mom must have had our Motorola turned off when a man delivering the baby pictures from Sears rang the doorbell, telling mom the president was just shot in Dallas. Mom said she didn't beleive him and he got pretty upset. She felt pretty bad once she turned the TV on.
BTW - I see the backs of several more Mags with those "conveniently located" thumbwheel controls for brightness, contrast vertical, etc.
That is a Westinghouse heater to the left of the lady with the porcupine hat.
