The people in the photo have somber expressions. It was a scary time. 1 year and one month later President Kennedy was gone.
It has been said that people remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when the news of the assassination occurred. I was in study hall in high school, junior year and the the speakers came on with the radio broadcast.
The center set looks to be a black and white model, possible with remote control.
