The 17" chassis was completely different. A CTC72? Smaller power transformer and different horiz sweep output.
The chassis were physically the same size.
Those lousy slide control knobs always crumbled. IIRC, they were two different lengths, depending on the model.
Many sets, that had the tilt-out control panel, the picture would change drastically, when moved in and out. always, a PITA.
