"Mullard" lately belonged to "Philps". I heared they made one of the best tubes.
I've read about the decline of British made tv sets (and I've seen on oldtechonogy.net some awsome looking British one... unfourtenly I never seen a British tv with my bear eyes - only on the interenet...).
And I've seen 2 1962-1964 Japanese sets (bought in Romania for experimental N.T.S.C. brodacasting) with "R.C.A." picture tube (I'm not shore about the "Victor/J.V.C.", but the "Hitachi" CT-150 had an 21CYP22A round picture tube).
