I quite distinctly remember some arcade games in the early 80's that used a revised Magnavox style tube chassis driving a black masked or Wells Gardner color picture tube. No doubt about it, in fact I was around 11 and I told this one guy that was servicing a Centipede game exactly what he had to fix on the chassis. (6JE6 was red plating)
I began looking for those tube driven games because I found it so cool but also odd to say the least.
