Looks like the chassis might be missing given the absence of the bottom three knobs.

One issue with using older sets in film is that NTSC has a frame rate of 30 frames/second where film has a rate of 24 frames/sec. In order to avoid filming a vertically rolling black bar the vertical section has to be modified for 24 f/s opperation and you need a video source that can do that as well. If that film was low budget it may have been cheaper for them to just fake the screen image in editing....It also made it easier to get a color image on that monochrome set...
