This could be a long shot, but a year ago I pulled a '72 Sylvania hybrid out of a ditch that appeared to have lived outside for a few decades and after replacing a ton of parts it lived, but I could not get good convergence. I finally replaced the convergence diodes and I was able to achieve MUCH better convergence.
