My first NEW TV was about 1982 19" Magnavox. Basic set. Sylvania had an identical set but I went for the Magnavox. This worked very well. I know that radiotvnut did a youtube on the Sylvania version. His had a bad flyback.
The Magnavox had a rest in 1988 (just put in basement storage), when i bought a 20 NEC stereo monitor TV. Still have the NEC and it works great. Had a sound issue about two years after it was new. A local shop fixed it up and it still has wonderful stereo "wide" sound.
