After years of watching sets I brought home from my shop, I finally bought a new 27" Magnavox in 2000. My mother has it now, but it still works just fine.
The second new set I bought was a 32" Westinghouse LCD HDTV that's now about 7 or 8 years old and has worked flawlessly.
