I used a Z-one for my first corporate video project back around 1991? I really liked the camera a lot. I know someone with a Z-one, but have not talked to them in several years, I will see if I can find them on facebook.
The Hitachi models that followed, the Z-one B, and the Z-one C were vastly inferior. There was a term that came out in the 90's which I have forgotten in which the camera automatically increases contrast as the camera zoomed out. One of the dumbest if not the dumbest "innovations" of the 90's.
