Anybody remember The Chicago Teddy Bears? It was a period comedy set in Chicago in the 1920s. Dean Jones and John Banner were the biggest names in a fairly big cast.
Even though I don't recall lots of exterior shots, there was a Sunday Section-type spread published with pictures and descriptions of the various characters' cars.
