I came DAMN close to that when in a heat induced daze I set a HOT CRT, after botching the sun decat method on and giving up chipping the safety glass off of, into a vat of COLD water. I realized how bad it was as I set it in, and ran away(should have tried to save it but was too chicken). Thing didn't implode, but did crack(it was a ping noise) and gurgle.
