I've heard this from people in person more than once who wanted to fishtank an old TV, or have come to me looking for a 'cheap' old nonworking tv to use as an "art project"... they say "Ill probably just smash that glass tube out with a hammer."
"Why not just unbolt it? I'll give you a few bucks for the tube if it's any good. Good luck finding a TV."
