I do have fish tanks ....REGULAR fish tanks, so I know what these damn things weigh. I also know that just the big cube of water is the EASY part. This wooden TV cabinet has to endure "messing with"...and CONSTANTLY if you are going to be keeping like 20 fish in it. The thought of a 30-40 gallon tank like eight inches off the ground. I first feel sorry for the TV set that is DEAD and GONE....and THEN, I feel sorry for the FISH when the owner realizes his quirky little yuppy accessory requires minor weekly upkeep, and then monthly REAL work if he is gonna keep it in good shape.

I give the owner of a TV aquarium maybe a YEAR before he gives up on it. No person who DOES take care of fish is gonna want this tank. Alot of work will have to go into KEEPING it nice looking AND the fish happy (ONLY happy fish look nice), and then the "effect" would be lost if you have all the CORRECT filtering taking up space under or right next to this. The "shock value" of seeing this at a party or whatever yuppy thing these are for would be lost if there is a big box or tray underneath or next to it of air pumps, valves and a big tall Fluval 405 sitting there. You don't get away with just water and fish in something this big.

It's gonna be SO SAD in five years when you spot a big 'ol roundie from across a thrift store......and find out it's just a raggedy old tired aquarium someone gave up on. I'd rather it be an old TV set in need of alot of attention.
