Eric, Have any success yet?
For the heck of it I tried measuring G1 and G2 at the base of a 5AXP4 using my BK 466. My Fluke DVM completely messed up the G2 reading. Apparently you need to use a VTVM or 10x scope probe. It's way more sensitive to loading than I suspected.
