Years ago I picked up and RCA set from a couple in Beverly Hills, they told me their grandma purchased the set a few days after Kennedy was shot. They said their grandma told them everyone was out buying color tvs after that event.
I dont know if its true but its and interesting tie-in.
Inflation calculator says it would cost $3,700 today.
