LOL - If you guys like that genre, I think you might like
Azumanga Daioh. I suggest watching with subtitles though. They did a lousy job translating the humor into English.
I really like the darker, heavier stuff like S.E. Lain, Monster, Hell Girl, Death Note, Hunter X Hunter and Elfen Lied. Also fantasy like Slayers, Scrapped Princess and Berserk.
Really though, I'll watch just about anything

The most recent series I watched was Hajime no Ippo. Very funny - especially if you like boxing.
