As I looked at the thumbnails of this set, I found it has at least one problem: a hum bar is visible on the raster. Once this is taken care of (probably a shorted tube or a filter cap going bad), this should be an excellent set for viewing DVDs and/or VHS tapes (as another poster noted). This would also be useful on cable if you are in an area in which the cable system has moved most channels to digital tiers, leaving only channels 2-13 being carried on the system as analog. For example, in my area, near Cleveland, this set, on my area's cable system, would get all the Cleveland network stations on channels 3, 4 and 5 (channel 4 on my cable is Cleveland's CBS 19, downconverted; 3 and 5, NBC and ABC repectively, remain on their original channels), 6 (MyTV), 7 (HSN), 8 (FOX), 9 (The CW), 10 (PBS Cleveland), 11 (QVC), 12 (local area info), and 13 (TV Guide Channel). Channel 2 on my cable is a religious station from Canton, Ohio.

The 1965 production date mentioned by the OP is probably off by a couple of years, since all TVs sold in the US had to have built-in UHF tuners as of April 30, 1964. I'd say this set could be of any vintage from 1963 to perhaps 1960. I did notice, however, the knockout plug for an optional UHF tuner; it is covered by a knob (perhaps fake), so this TV was built with the future in mind.
