Your 'Whitfield' Model name table top is from 1951, with chassis KCS66. The 17- part of the model number indicated a 17" CRT.

Early production models employed an electrostatic focus 17GP4...late production models use a magnetic deflection 17CP4 (there's a 'K' after the model number, if the chassis takes a CP4).
Yep same exact chassis as my console 17T172 which originally had a 17GP4. I'm curious to know if your set has the original metal envelope tube and if it's good. Mine's been converted to a larger 20" all glass tube.I believe this happened early in it's life.I put mine on the variac and got a nice bright full raster so my flyback and crt are good but the main filter blew and that's as far as I've gone with it. Hopefully your crt and flyback are good as well.
