I resoldered the contacts and other areas on the vertical module, cleaned the contacts, and bent them slightly so that they would make better contact. Now, vertical deflection seems to be stable; but, it's now rolling vertically after the set has been on for a few minutes. I'm going to replace all of the electrolytic caps on the module. If that does not fix it, I'm going to track down another module.
