In fact, quite a few CRT based TVs were made in the last few years with DTV tuners. I have one that I bought at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago for a little over $100. Of course, these were standard definition, not HD.
However, I think the sales of these has ceased. I no longer see CRT based TVs displayed in any of the stores now.
