So it might be something I just need to live with.
Colour section is hybrid, as follows
3EJ7 pentode Burst amp --> transistor amplifier ---> IC Demodulator ---> 9MN8 tripple triode voltage amp --> RGB grids of picture tube.
And add a number of probably germanium diodes to above
