A 23" tube color set makes for a monster of a table model. Finding a place to put it gets to be a problem. You either need a very stout table or a hefty shelf unit. Places you might see them were bars or as a built-in if someone had a really nice house. I think the crt that Elvis shot out was a built-in metal cabinet CTC-31 table model.
I've had several "full-size" table models, from GE, Admiral, RCA...I have a Sylvania right now. It would be a lot easier to deal with if it were a console, and if I had the floor space I'd have screwed some legs on by now.
The real monster is the one I have sitting next to it...an Admiral roundie table model! I would tinker with it more but I always have to get help to move it off its perch.
