Resale value is a fairly good indicator of a vehicles quality. I can tell you from my experience of inspecting cars for the state for the past 12 years, VW, Volvo, Porsch, anything GM are the most pricey to keep on the road.
When they rate new cars its on initial quality not the fact its going to need the intake gaskets and radiator changed ever 30k miles.

These days most people buy cars based on how they look or how they think they will appear to others. Not researching the vehicle and making an educated decision.

I dont think thats the case with tv sets. People buy the dawoo because its cheap.

In the old days familys were brand loyal, Zenith/RCA, Ford/Chevy. Those days are long gone.

There is no loyalty to anything anymore.
