The flyback transformer is in there. That's not good.
Maybe you got lucky and something else inside went bad. I would see if you can get a model number off the chassis somewhere. Then perhaps one of the good folks here could get a schematic with a part number. Moyers may have the flyback (if that is the only problem).
somethings that could make a flyback go bad beside just age would be a bad tube in the HV. perhaps a shorted yoke, again a moyers call.
