My 2006 27" CT-27HL14J Panasonic "Tau" 16:9 set is pretty good - it was a studio monitor for one of the local school systems. 1080i resolution using component input is sharp! CRT is flat, but dang, the set is deep!
I've got it connected to a Samsung ATSC/QAM HD tuner and get only 9 HD channels on basic cable.
