I have an old laptop that's 10 years old. It's LCD screen has held up well, but I'm sure it's faded a little. I would think the LCD displays they put out today should be able to outlast the ones made a decade ago... but then, I guess we won't know for sure till we get there. I certainly won't expect to see any "vintage" LCD sets on this website 30 years from now!
Just think... back in the day, the people that designed CRT's would have never thought so many of them would still be in use 50 or 60 years later!
