All CRT here too. My main TV is a 1997 JVC AV-27820 27" (assembled in Mexico) that I have had since new and it has never had a problem. It's on all the time and after 13 years the color and picture is still perfect. My bedroom TV is a 2002 Apex AT1302 13"(China) that doesn't get a lot of use, maybe 1/2 hour a week if that. Last set is on top of the fridge in the kitchen. It's a 2001 Curtis Mathes CM13102 13" set(Korea with a Daewoo CRT) that allows me to keep up on the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics or Patriots while I'm cooking.

As far as LCD TV's longevity...For what it's worth considering the source I had a Sony factory rep that was in a Walmart store in St Petersburg, FL this past holiday season tell me that their factory testing on their Bravia sets show show an average life expectancy of 20 years on them. But this was from a factory rep and the information might be a bit jaded.
