WWRROONNG!! The DTV was TERRIBLE. Not snowy but just all choppy (not pixilating) and weird looking. I really can't explain it. Even the audio was barely listenable. I have done no further investigation since. I did acquire an extra matching transformer as that could cause issues. I hope it's that simple. I should not be having these troubles, since the set was receiving fine before.
I hate this because my Philco has always been there working when nothing else would. The best set I have ever owned. It has played nearly flawlessly for me for the past 26 years. I assume it must have done well between the 50's and the 80's.

The DTV converter I bought seemed to be working perfectly while using it's composite outputs. When I tried the RF on a 50's set it was terrible. I thought it would just be a problem with the vintage set so I tried it on my Pioneer rear projection set. Same problems, but worse. Composite great, RF terrible.
