The newest large screen B&W's that I've seen would be a '79 23" Admiral built Truetone (Western Auto) solid state console and a circa '78 23" solid state table model Zenith in a steel cabinet. The Truetone was at a friend's house who used to fix TV's for WA and he told me that it was from the '79 model year and was built by Admiral. The cabinet was very cheap; but, the set had a great picture. The Zenith set was one that I actually owned when I was a kid. Should have kept it.
I had a Philco 19" B&W from around the mid '80's. I think it was a rebadged Samsung. I think I remember seeing some 19" B&W's in the JC Penny Christmas catalogs from the late '80's. I also had one of those oddball Zenith 19" B&W's from around '84 with the digital tuner.
