They really didn't have station presets on the radio dial, the radio had separate indicator windows below the dial for each of the presets, with the remotes having paper station tabs circling the dial to match. The presets are actually padders on the radio chassis. I've had many of these over the years.
I am curious why the previous poster described them as "signal seekers". Maybe he has a different definition of the term?
