I find it interesting that somebody would tell you the analog conversion happens in a box on your roof. Well anyway I guess that's possible. Most cable systems send out the analog from the headend just like it was years ago. For the analog version just look at this way we have very good converters that do the same basic conversion as the $49 converters in the stores. Plus don't count on all the television stations having a direct link to the headend. We still pick a lot of them up with an antenna.
