With all of the constant reminders and notices and organizations asked to help with the conversions, and the four-month delay on top of all that, I find it almost mind-boggling that anyone out there could still not have understood that they needed to do something about the change, yet at the same time watched so much TV that loss of it even briefly could be considered significant.

With a few more ongoing kinks,this whole thing will work out pretty good, but even when it doesn't work out, it would be a really sad reflection of American society to think that loss of TV-watching should be seen as significant. There are just so, so many far more constructive and fulfilling things to do in life, no matter how limited your abilities are in any way.
