I used to run into this quite often when I was advertising for antique radios on a regular basis. I'd get a call from someone who claimed to have an antique radio. I'd make the trip 25 miles out in the country only to find a mid '70's digital flip clock radio or an early '80's cheap radio/cassette portable. And, many of these sellers were old enough to know that a 15-20 year old cheap radio is not antique. When someone calls me now, telling me that they have an "antique radio" is not good enough. I ask very specific questions and if they haven't got a clue as to what I'm talking about, I simply thank them for their time and hang up.
