Whether or not the Digital OTA system is flawed, I am not sure yet. Since I am local to NYC's many transmitters, reception hasn't been too much of an issue (yet)
But as far as safety is concerned, why not leave one analog VHF or UHF station live in each market? Seems like a plausible prevention scheme, "just in case..."
