On a lark, I e-mailed the seller again. They said they still had the set. I asked about meeting them Monday (they're 40 miles away) and they said they'd meet me at a park next to the Mississippi River Bridge. That'll save me 10 miles of driving, and the park is pretty wide-open, but I am still cautious about stuff like this. At least if you're going to somebody's home and the area is iffy you can let people know where you're going to.
