There wasn't any "new ground" broken by the Advent speaker, it was just another refinement of several of the speakers that had been produced by KLH earlier. This is not a criticism of the Advent, but it wasn't new technology like the Heil AMT or the Dahlquist DQ-10. It was a good product at a fair price and produced a strong and steady revenue stream to fund other development.

I remember Henry showing these at many CES shows in the 70's. I wasn't into video then, and I am not now, although I do have a 27" tube HDTV.

You could tell Henry was using Advent to fund development, I don't have a problem with it either. Koss used the headphone cash cow to fund the electrostatic Model 1 speakers, and the CM line of speakers.
