It's because RCA used to make great electronics. The XL-100 was not their best set, the Colortraks were. That's not to say an XL-100 is subpar, because they weren't. IMO it just meant they didn't add the same features to them, like photocell brightness control, remote, OSD, MTS stereo depending on the set in question.
