There used to be this character actor called "Anthony Zerbe" +1
The Guy who played the serial killer in "Silence of the Lambs" (Not Anthony Hopkins) That would be Ted Levine. He was also in the late, lamented 1986-88 TV cop show, "Crime Story'.
