Philips CRTs are usually very good and durable.
The chassis in your TC/VCR combo doesn't really look like it has anything to do with Philips, it's a typical Asian chassis with Asian components and layout, Philips never ever used those tiny 1/8w resistors, they used their own large turquoise 1/4w resistors and "orange drop" style capacitors at least until the mid 90s
