They only got as far as season 1. Then it was announced that HD-DVD was being discontinued, so Paramount never released the second and third seasons on HD-DVD. Now, though, they are likely to release all three seasons, one at a time, and then again later as a complete set, with special extras, all overpriced at first, so they can bleed
Star Trek fans dry. (There were at least 3 different versions of the original
Star Trek released on DVD. Who knows how many will come out on Blu-Ray?) Paramount knows how to squeeze as many dollars as possible from their customers.
