As far as I know that was published by Consumer Reports, Mitsubishi (or MGA) was rated #1 in TV reliability from 1978 to 1984. It's kind of unusual and surprising, because I originally thought Panasonic or Sony would be the most-reliable in the first place. Early-1980s Mitsubishi VHS VCRs were really troublesome.
